Bela holds a PhD in marine natural products drug discovery, an MPharm in Pharmacy, and a BSc in Biomedical Sciences. Working at the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, Glasgow, she then pursued her PhD in 2016 under the guidance of Dr RuAngelie Edraba-Ebel, head of the Natural Products Metabolomics Group. Following her PhD, Bela contributed to Mass Spectrometry-based cancer immunoproteomics at EnaraBio Ltd., Oxford, generating proteomic/immunopeptidomic datasets from primary cancer tissue samples and managing mass spec platforms. Bela joined Platinum Discovery in January 2022 where she is leading experimental design and delivery as the Senior Scientist.
